DIY wardrobe in a room

Perhaps every woman dreams of being able to follow the example of a soap opera character and occasionally take refuge in a luxurious dressing room filled with clothes, shoes, and handbags. Unfortunately, space is often an issue. Even if you live in a small apartment or do not have a spare room to turn into a walk-in closet, do not despair. Here is some advice on how to create such a wardrobe.
All you need to do is find a space roughly 2 x 2 meters in the corner of the room. This is the final space for your wardrobe, and you can adjust it as needed. However, we recommend that you do not make the space too small, because if you make the space too small, you will not have room to move around when you change clothes later in the wardrobe.

Then build up the space in this room with a ceiling-height wardrobe. If you do not have this type of furniture at home, you can use cheap bookcases that can be found at furniture chain stores for less than $1,000. This furniture can be used to furnish the space.
You can decide whether to turn the shelves toward the closet to create storage space or outward to make the closet look like a bookcase. If you are crafty, you can use shelves on only one wall of the closet and use larger boards on the other wall.
Caution! Everything must be properly secured to both the wall and the ceiling. Be especially careful with bookcases that are designed to be fastened to the wall, as they can be very wobbly.

Once the wardrobe walls are complete, it is time to place the furniture. [If there is enough space in the closet, you can place a classic clothes rack like those sold in stores. However, you can also mount a hanging rod on the wall.
